HD-PVR and Dish VIP211K
Hi all... I've been reading through threads for hours with no luck, despite some great instructions. I have the HD-PVR playing video fine through Sage, but cannot get it to change channels. I've tried using the buitd-in Hauppauge IR blaster following this thread (http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/show...99&postcount=1), which flashes the IR emitter but doesn't do anything on the Dish receiver. I've also tried getting my USB-UIRT to work by having it learn the IR codes 0-9 and by trying the IR file from this post (http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/show...36&postcount=9). I have an emitter plugged into the back of my USB-UIRT and it's model # includes the lower-case z indicating it is a 3-zone unit. I've tried different zones (it flashes the IR emitter when configured with no zone or as zone 2).
No luck with anything. Maybe I'm being entirely stupid and placing the emitter in the wrong spot on the Dish receiver. I'm placing it over what looks like an IR window on the right-hand side of the receiver (facing the front). I'm not sure what else to try at this point. Can I assume since the emitter is flashing when I do a channel change that it is working, but not getting the proper code to the receiver?? Thanks for any help!!

OK... I think I got it figured out. I used the lrnhelper program and verified the USB-UIRT was sending the code to the receiver. I then tried several other IR files I found in the forums. None of them worked. I then went back and had it re-learn the remote codes again (note that this didn't work the first time). It still didn't work. I then found a post about adding RepeatCount 6 to the second line of the file. This fixed it and all appears to be working now!
