need for Sage TV if already have Dish pvr
Hi all--I know this might be a lame question, but here goes: I have a Satl. service from Dish, with a dependable dvr. However I also have a robust HTPC, where I copy movies to my hd. (200 gig) then burn dvds Nero. My htpc is not connected to the internet. I want peoples opinion on this issue: does it make any sense for me to go with Sage TV? I think it is a way cool program and will do it if it will make my life easier w copying and burning from Sat tv.
thanks Jim |

If your HTPC was on the internet, then I would do it. I say this because then you have an EPG that is probably better than Dish's.
If the HTPC is not on the internet, then stick with your current method since you'll have no guide data and no way to get it. -Beef |

Well, the one advantage I can think of is that you wouldn't need to copy the files to your hard drive anymore since they would already be there. It's also a lot easier to add more storage space or add an additional tuner with SageTV.
