Missing EPG service for at least 2 days
We missed a couple of important recordings last night, like the Office, because there was "No Data" listed for that channel.
I looked into the debugging data and it shows that "gandalf.freytechnologies.com" cannot be contacted. I also tried pinging this host and get no response. Is there another host to get the EPG from ? Thanks, Stefano

Has your firewall changed? See this FAQ:
What ports do I need to open in my firewall for SageTV? Check this FAQ too, but I'm guessing a firewall issue because the ping works for me. My Program Guide is no longer updating and is missing data for some or all of my channels. How can I get it to start updating again? - Andy

Hi Andy,
Thanks for the back to basics response, I needed that. I had tried to ping gandalf from work (I am remotely connected to my house via VNC) and that did not work either, so I assumed that it was down. It turns out that our firewall probably blocks pings so that threw me off. What is causing the problem, and I haven't fixed it yet, is that when I added a second ethernet card 2 weeks ago to talk to the HDHR directly, it also shut off the outgoing routing, while working perfectly for all other purposes.... So, I temporarily disablet ethernet 2 and sucked 10 days of EPG off the ethernet 1 and now I need to find a fix for the routing part. Thanks again. Stefano
