Am I missing something, can you watch a video over a few days without starting over?

I've been using SageTV since 1.4, but I never bothered asking. It seems that a long show will always start at the beginning when I try to pickup where I left off the next day. This seems kind of silly, my first gen Replay was smart enough to start at the last point, even DVD players can do it.

Unwatched SageTV recordings should remember where you were at the next time you restart the show. Imported videos and already-watched recordings do not. If the show has already been watched, simply use the Watched command to clear that status.

Can it be an issue about how I exit the show? Often I will just hit "power" and send it into screensaver mode, should I back out to the main menu first?

Is this for a show in the SageTV Recordings list that hasn't already been watched completely? What version are you using? It shouldn't matter how you put it to sleep; it should remember the position it was at when playback was stopped. (I just tried sleeping to full screen screensaver mode & it remembered wher it left off.)

I had a two hour Frontline that took use four sittings to watch and each return we had to skip from the beginning and estimate where we left off. I was using 2.0. I'll try again with another show.

Is the show still in the SageTV Recordings list, or did you move the file somewhere else & it is now in the import library? i.e.: What menu do you go to when you start playback? Position tracking isn't available for imported shows.

If this is not an imported video, I'm not sure what would cause this. I have had no problems continuing shows where I left off, even back with v1.4. Unless someone else has an idea, I would try tech support to see if they know what might cause this.
