New PC Parts
Hi,
I did a search and could not find a similar thread so I will start one. If one exists, please point me towards it. Where do you buy your PC parts? I use NewEgg and browse their combo deals. I have had good success with their customer service also. I saw a thread asking the same question about purchasing cables and I found a new spot so who knows, maybe I will find other resources. |

I'm a big fan of NewEgg and TigerDirect; both of them have very reliable customer service. Plus, NewEgg is listed as a Bing cashback store, so their prices are usually very competitive to other online vendors.
If I gotta have it today, there's a Fry's 30 miles down the road. I wish Fry's online did as well as the brick-and-morter, but they don't. |

I'm pretty much newegg or Amazon. Only really got hooked on Amazon after looking for a case and signing up for Prime (free 2 day shipping on almost everything) for about the same price as shipping would have been.

Newegg is always my first choice just due to the sheer volume and selection. A couple other places I check is Zipzoomfly and mwave.com. I used to use mwave a lot more, but their prices have steadily gone up (or I guess I should say, they don't go down as fast as Newegg which means they seem to be a bit more expensive).
I only use Tiger for monitors as they seem to have good deals on entry level LCD monitors quite often. Otherwise their prices seem to be higher than Newegg (and their combos are usually rebate heavy to get them down to the advertised prices). FYI: CompUSA and Circuit City websites are now Tigerdirect sites (okay technically they are a Systemax company which is the parent of Tiger). I always buy my cables from Monoprice, Meritline or Cablewholesale. Mainly Monoprice, but if I only need just one, sometimes the Meritline free shipping items are cheaper.

For Canadians I would suggest ncix.ca for online stuff and Canada Computers for those in Ontario for a retail store.
