Why an Athlon XP Mobile ?

I think these are used for notebook computers only.

You probably want an Athlon XP 2500 (or thereabout). $80 at newegg.

Mobil version doesn't have the bus lock so you can crank up the speed like hell. It's also socket A so you don't need to have special MB to support it.

Actually, I went with the Athlon mobile since it's got a lower level of heat it emits. The fact it's overclockable easily is moot, since I won't be overclocking, and am even thinking of UNDERclocking (depending on the temperature). I want my PC cool, quiet, and sleek looking. I think I have achieved all those goals
