Recordings in parts!!
Hi,
I am new to sage and am having a problem with my recrodings being saved in parts i.e. a film is saved as Film-59471-0.mpg Film-59471-1.mpg Film-59471-2.mpg Film059471-3.mpg Any ideas why this would happen? Thanks. |

It is either losing connection to the server/hard drive (network problem or drive going bad.) or your drive isn't formatted to NTFS.

It can also be caused by the tuner. Something like the tuner losing the signal or other misc. tuner error.
No known workarounds. Systems working 100% correctly do not have this issue.

If it is WHS you want to record to drives that in WHS are NOT in the managed pool. That is probably your issue. Take the recording drives out of the pool and treat them as regular drives from the WHS desktop. Also, they probably are not formatted with 64K blocks which will also caused you issues. After you remove them from the managed pool reformat them in 64 k blocks.

Turn on debug logging. The logs should tell you whether it's a disk or tuner issue.
