Set defaults on new favorites
I'd expect the "Set Defaults" button to take the settings on the current favorite that I'm looking at and make them the default options for new Favorites, but it's not seeming to work that way. Whenever I create a new favorite, it defaults to "Until I Delete." I've changed it manually to "Until space is needed" and then hit the "Set Defaults" button, but then when I create a new favorite it still makes it "Until I Delete".
Also, is there a way to tell Sage whether to save new favorites as the first or last in the favorites list? Mine default to last, but I'm wondering about changing it to first if there's a way to do that. My manual seems to have been deleted and I can't find one available online without doing a re-install. Any idea what I'm missing here? Last edited by popechild; 08-13-2009 at 07:17 AM. |

Sage Manual (not SageMC) can be found here:
http://download.sage.tv/SageTV_Manual.pdf I too would like a favorite recordings defaults screen.

Don't you have to enable the Malore extras to get the Favorites Default screen?

This is the SageMC subforum - the first post mentions settings text that is in SageMC, not the default STV. I have no idea how SageMC handles this.
The default STV handles default MR & Favorite settings via the hidden features, separate from the malore menus, and it is an STV feature, not a core feature. - Andy

Right. I don't think SageMC STV was ever redone to take advantage of this. So the only way to accomplish it would be to revert to the default STV and setup your Favorite defaults from there. You could try to put in the request for SageMC but development is probably reduced. Maybe Mike could sneak it in.
