HD200 Aspect Ratio Mode

Hi Guys,

When using the HD200 as a Sage Extender does anyone know to permanently change "Aspect Ration Mode" to FILL ?

I need to change it everytime I turn if on or a new program starts, seems to always want to default to "SOURCE"

Thanks

When playing a video, hit the "options" button. From there, go to aspect ratio control, select "fill", go into it's settings and set as default.

Try this. Set the aspect ratio to "fill". Then power down the HD200. After you power it up your setting should "stick". This has been an issue for a long time.

That didn't work for me, but what I did was went into the properties file for each of my HD200(s) and changed the... i think it was

"advanced_default_aspect_ratio="

to

"advanced_default_aspect_ratio=Fill"

It was near the top of the properties file. if you search for aspect it is the second instance of it in the file... at least it was for me.

If this works, i will buy you a beer. I have always had to hit the aspect ration button each time i watch my shows... I wish sage will give users that option to default it to fill. The aspect ration is the most annoying thing to me in sage.

The option is in the default STV & is documented in the PDF manual. The info for "Aspect Ratio Mode selection dialog" starts on p. 119 of the v6.6 PDF manual. See the option after that called "Set as the default Aspect Ratio mode".

What version of SageTV are you running? As far as I know, this has no longer been an issue for a long time.

Using 6.6..but I have not tried to set the aspect ratio for a long time, therefore I was not aware the issue had been addressed.
