Sage too sensitive?

So I was watching Formula 1 Qualifying live. Right after Massa's car was brought in on the truck, the video froze while the counter kept going. If I RW to before the freeze, the file would play fine and then stop at the "freeze point". Any FF would just display a black screen. After the recording was finished, I opened the file up in VLC. At the point that Sage froze, there was a jump in the video, like a frame or two were lost on the DirecTV stream. I've seen this before and satellite seems to have glitches more than cable. Why does Sage collapse when other media players play the file fine? Is there a property setting that can "desensitize" Sage Player (mplayer?).

I was watching it on cable and didn't have an issue. You theory about satellite vs cable is probably correct.

What decoder are you using? Sounds like a decoder problem.

I thought about that...after I deleted the file. I switched back to VMR9 with the Nvidia decoder for a while. I assume ArcSoft TMT 2.x can do EVR as well as Cyberlink...anyone using it?
