HD PVR and Sage questions

Sorry in advance for the long post, I've tried in advance to answer these questions by searching.

I've been using SageTV for a couple of years in SD. I recently bought a Samsung ln40650a and decided to get an HD-pvr. Thanks to the forums and the pain other people have had I have manged to get my HD-PVR up and running and recording shows. Sage seems to be pretty stable but I do have some unresolved issues. Any help or direction to threads with help would be greatly appreciated.

My sage pc is used as a client for viewing. I have an e5200 dual core processor, 2gb ram and an ATI 4650. The computer is connected to the TV via the HDMI port on the 4650. I am running the latest Beta of Sage. Latest drivers, for the HD pvr, and latest version of Arcsoft.

Issues:
HD-PVR
#1 I can't seem to get the HD-PVR to work with my older PVR 150. I would still like to record some shows in SD ( I really don't need to watch ultimate figher in HD). I found several threads where people said they had to disable them, but non where they said they got the two to work together. As soon as enable it as a source in sage, the HD-PVR will lock up when trying to watch liveTV.
#2 SageMC. I like SageMC. A lot. Whenever I change the STV to SageMC, the HD-PVR locks up. I couldn't find any threads on this issue. If I switch back to the default STV all is well.

DVDs
I think this is more of a "I don't know what I am doing question". Since I am outputting the audio through the HDMI cable the audio is playing weird when I play DVDs. I am only using the TV speakers(no 5.1) and the DVDs are outputing in 5.1. So if I pop in "300" and play it in sage. The sound is all wrong. So then I go into the settings on the "300" DVD and chose 2.0 and it sounds fine. That all makes sense to me. If I play it in powerDVD it plays fine and I don't change anything in the DVD setup. Is there a way to tell sage to always output the dvd is 2.0? I looked for something in the ATI catalist and couldn't find anything.

1 last thing.
I want to also be able to use HULU desktop on this pc, which is working great. It looks wonderful at full screen on the highest resolution (well wonderful for streamed). Is there a pluggin, or a way to allow me to fire up hulu from withen sage and then use my HD-pvr remote to control hulu desktop? (this is the least of my worries, since I can solve this with a wireless keyboard/trackball)

#1 Can't help. Have two in a box and added a second HD-PVR so I can do two at a time HD recording. Just can't do SD anymore.

#2 I am using SageMC no problems. Probably something else but download the latest version and try again.

DVDs
Your Audio decoder should handle this. Which one are you using? You can pick different ones for DVD and Video\Audio in the setup. The Arcsoft should work for both. Check the Detailed setup under DVD.

Hulu
I have not seen a plug-in but something like EventGhost should allow you to control call and control it with your remote. There may even be a plugin by now to get you started. I use the MCE button on my remote to select which device is active and then the remote will only control that program. Play, pause, ff etc all work without messing up Sage or another program. EventGhost is free and may take a little while to setup but it is well worth the time.

Thank you for the response. I did get sageMC working. I don't think there ever was an issue, just an issue with the pvr 150.

EventGhost looks like exactly what I need.

The DVD plays the same no matter which decoder I use. I may try and disable the onboard sound. Shouldn't matter but you never know.
