PVR-250 Questions....
Hi,
I've now deployed my SageServer with a PVR-250 card and its working great. However, a few questions which I have not easily been able to find the answers have come up. 1. Where are the mappings for the PVR-250 remote set / documented? I have figured out most of it but, for example where is the guide button like on the DVCR remote? 2. I want to use the composit input to connect to my Digital Box for recording digital cable channels. Do I really need to add a second input method for my card? Can't I just add a no-schedual data, channel to my schedule which will reflect to the composit input? [I NEVER want intelligent recording to select this input] 3. Does SageTv allow usage of the second video input channel on the white connector of the newer cards? [I would like to add a second video no-schedule channel like #2 above]. 4. Does anyone know where pre-made cables for the connector in #3 can be obtained? Lastly, I read a post about a possible chat session which would occur on [for example] a monthly basis. This sounds like a great idea. Most of these questions might be answered through that type of forum and much more would be learned. Finally, if I have not said this before - great job guys. I have been watching PVR for PC developement for over a year. Snapstream has always been a major contender for my money. However, support and development speed has destroyed my confidence in snapstream [I am aware that they finally released something with beta PVR-250 drivers]. I have comitted to your approach [I own a licence for all three products] and I say 'Thank You' for all that you've done and all that you will do to support this product in the future. 1. Go == Guide, all of the buttons are listed in the developers section of our support section of our site.
2 - Currently that's not supported, you need to add it as another source. 3 - Yes it should. That's why you see all of the options for Composite & SVideo. They're for the alternate connectors on the Hauppauge card. (haven't tested this yet though) 4 - If I did I would have tested #3. Maybe SHS knows. Thanks for the feedback.

Jeff,
I've tried to do #2 without success. It looks like its not supported at all. If I try to add another input, it simply edits the existing one. From my experience you either use the composite (or S-Video) with SageTV or you don't. What I would really like is to be able to say record S-Video 1 at 10:00 to 11:00, then go back to normal RF intelligent recording. Any chance of this in the near future? Thanks, -Stan |

Try selecting a different provider for each input. Then it'll let you create more than one on the same card (otherwise it thinks you're editing it).

This is the closest thread i could find without starting a new one. I am using the remote that comes with the PVR250 card. But I am having issues. The remote for my TV seems to send commands to my computer too. So as I watch TV from another input...Sage is navigating itself around. Anyone out there know if there is some way I can change the freq or something of the PVR remote so it will stop listening to the commands from my TV remote??? HELP!!!! Thanks...
