No Video from HD-PVR

Purchase new Hauppauge HD-PVR connected to a server with a Hauppauge Dual 500 & a NVidia Dual card. I loaded all the software that came with the HD-PVR, still no video. Do I need to remove the existing Hauppuage driver? Any suggestions welcome

Are you getting a Sage Error pop-up, or is the screen just black? Are you getting audio? Do the files play in the ArcSoft software? What version of Sage? Did you set the H.264 decoder in either the Sage UI, or the properties file?

Need more info.

HD-PVR: connected to what with what calbles?

Hauppauge Dual 500: Connected to what?

My connection is component cables from the cable box to the HD-PVR then usb connection to the pc, Arcsoft is installed. My 500 Dual Tuner is not invovled with the connections above, it has it's own coax connection for analog channels.
I was hoping to get all my digital and HD channels from the HD-PVR and eventually rid myself of the analog tuners.

I'm confused on this. So you are getting the HD channels from your STB via your HDPVR, but you aren't getting your SD digital channels from your STB?

Are you sure you enabled the SD channels via the HDPVR setup? Secondly, are these same SD digital channels mapped to a different tuner?

Sorry for the confusion, I finally had some time to play with this. I'm currently running WinPro XP with analog Hauppuage and NVidia dual tuners that have there own channel mappings (working for the last 2 yrs). Just added a usb connected Hauppauge HD PVR to access all the other channels that are encrypted, HD or not, that has its own channel mapping. This is connected to a Sci Atlanta cablebox.
Don't care about viewing HD content at my pc, my main goal is to access live and recorded content from my Sage HD 100 extender. Now the Program grid comes up correct. I can flip through channels on the analog tuners via the extender just fine but flipping through channels mapped to the HD PVR doesn't change the channel on my cable box. It's still stuck on channel 2 for example.
So I do get video but how do I set it that changing the channels from the extender changes the channels on the cablebox? Sorry if I missed a step but don't know what. Thx

The problem stems from having 2 Hauppuage tuners in your system. The IR software from Hauppuage can only support one tuner in the system. Try setting up the other tuner if it has IR. If it doesn't it still interferes with the software. You can try changing the slot the card is in. That might help. If not look at getting a separate IR blaster/receiver like the USB-UIRT.

Are you using the IR blaster that came with the HD-PVR?

If so does it flash red when you change the channel? The range on those things is not very good it should be placed just below the IR receiver on the box.

Are you using digital or analog audio into the HD PVR?

If you have TME configured to use Digital Audio and it is not receiving a signal over the cable it goes to a black screen.

I already have a usb firefly remote controlling the Hauppauge Dual Tuner. Not sure why changing the slot will correct the problem but I'll try anything at this point.

I notice that as well. I will play around with it some more today.

I'm using analog audio out of the cablebox to the HDPVR.

Removing Hauppuage Dual Tuner from the first slot and replaced it with the NVidia Tuner fix my channel changing problem from the extender but I'm still having a problem with audio both from the extender and pc, getting a low hum from the channels of the HD PVR. Sound from the analog tuner works fine so I know it's not the connections.
My Video/Audio settings for MPEG2 Audio Decoder is Arcsoft, what should it be? Or should I be looking at something else?
Also how can I speed up channel changing on the HD PVR?
