SageTV Launcher - Green Button starts VMC once, then SageTV

I am using SageTV Launcher by babgvant. I like it, except one problem - the first time I hit the Green Button, it starts Vista Media Center. I close VMC, and afterwards, the Green Button works as it should in SageTV, namely in getting back to the main menu from anywhere in SageTV.

Any suggestions for how I can get it set up to it does not start VMC that first time the GB is pushed after a reboot?

I am using the Hauppauge MCE remote.

I had the exact same issue (although I use the Microsoft remote). The way I dealt with this is by disabling the Media Center app. That can be done if you go into Control Panel and then Default Programs and then Set Program Access and Defaults and then Custom and you can unclick Enable access to this program.

I don't know if there is a way to fix this and not disable VMC so if you want to live with VMC then you may just have to live with this problem - do what I do and only reboot infrequently.

solved by disabling ehtray.exe on startup.

run->msconfig

select "selective startup" and uncheck ehtray.exe and anything else beginning with eh...

headerless client with sagetv launcher

Hi i'm trying to run an Ellonex all in one PLC (old xp media centre) as a sagetv client. I already have the sagetv server working on another pc.

My problem is that I do not have a keyboard on the ellonex, so I've done the install via remote desktop but when the sagetv client is fired up a) it asks for the server ip adress and b) the screen is not maximised to full screen.

Can these two issues to passed to the sagetv client via the command line. or is there another solution?

Best Regards,

Jason.
