How to configure audio for spdif on sagetv client

I can not seem to get the sagetv client to output spdif to my stereo.

I can play a dvd using PowerDVD just fine on the machine and it outputs nicely in Dolby-Digital. Works fine if I use the Windows Media player as well.

Within Sage, no matter what I choose for the audio settings it outputs pcm.

How do I properly configure audio to output through spdif?

Thanks in advance.

Great that worked. I didnt know it was required to install the AC3Filter... was expecting the Cyberlink codecs to handle it...

Runs fine normally. I'm comparing Sage to BTV and no issues with BTV.

did you run the ac3filter spdif check utility? if you output an unsupported bit rate you'll probably get noise.
