Question regarding interrupted recording
Hi,
Last night we went to watch a recording of Law & Order that we discovered only had about 5 minutes recorded. It was an HD broadcast recorded on an hvr-1250 using QAM under windows xp. The recording was initiated two minutes into the broadcast. What sorts of events would cause a recording to fail? I am wondering if there is a problem streaming to the hard drive. We are planning to order a 1 TB drive in the next month formatted to 64k blocks, but right now we are using the base windows drive which is not terribly large and is 4k blocks. My problem appears to be that I was not in service mode. I thought I was but when I double checked I found it had not been setup that way. Likely the interruptions were caused by logging in and out of accounts or closing of sageTV.
