Anyone have a Hauppauge PVR-500 (PVR500) tuner installed and working on WHS?

Setup:
Gigabyte P45-based board w/ Intel C2D processor
4GB RAM
160GB HD's x 2 in RAID-1 for OS
250GB HD's x 2 for initial recordings (which are moved daily to a larger storage server)
NVIDIA GeForce 8400GS PCIe video card (took a bit of searching, but the 169.21_forceware_winxp_32bit_english.whql.exe drivers worked)
3 x HDHR network tuners (took forever to install, as is the case with the SiliconDust/HDHR setup process, but they are installed and working perfectly)
2 x Hauppauge PVR-500 tuners
OS = WHS (Windows Home Server, all updates applied)

The issue I'm having is with the PVR500 tuners -- the drivers install and WHS seems content that they are working properly, SageTV sees the tuners too -- but when trying to tune one of the tuners in SageTV... I get the dreaded "No Signal" message.

Using the WinTV application provided by Hauppauge, it also sees the tuners as well, but it also won't tune.

I've tried 2 sets of drivers available:

WinTV-PVR Media Center driver CD version 3.2 available here:
http://www.hauppauge.com/site/support/support_mce.html

And Installation CD Version 3.4D1 with WinTV version 6 available here:
http://www.hauppauge.com/site/suppor...rt_pvr150.html

I followed the instructions to hcwclear.exe to assure proper/complete removal... but to no avail.

Does anyone have Hauppauge PVR-500 tuners working in WHS? If so, what drivers did you use and what was the installation/setup process you used?

Many thanks,
tk

Take a gig of ram out of your server. The pvr500s don't support over 3 GB ram.

yeah, i had massive issues with my WHS until I dropped back to 2GB. I had a PVR-500 working just fine on it until 2 days ago, when I pulled it out to give to my inlaws and go to a full HD solution. (I had 1 PVR500, 1 HD-PVR, and the 2 HD-OTA, i pulled the PVR500 and will be getting a 2nd HD-PVR)

Perfect. Seems kind of an arbitrary thing... but that was the issue.

Pulled the pair of 2GB x 2 sticks and replaced w/ 1GB x 2 sticks and the PVR-500 tuners are now working perfectly (BTW, I used the drivers on the PVR150 page).

And I totally overlooked this very warning on the Hauppauge page here:
http://www.hauppauge.com/site/suppor...rt_pvr150.html

"Note: Currently, the WinTV-PVR-150 and WinTV-PVR-500 receivers used with 64-bit versions of Windows are limited to less than 4GB of memory."

They should probably add WHS to that Note.

Thanks for the assist.
