PVR-150 Blaster not working with D11-500

I can't seem to get the IR blaster to control my DirecTV D11-500 box. The IR transmitter blinks when I'm choosing the model # during the setup process, but I don't actually have a D11-500 entry in the list. I've tried every model # in the list, but none of them seem to do anything. Is the D11-500 supposed to be supported with the blaster? Or is there a way to get it working by other means?
