Slow client startup causes Sage to lose focus

Hiya

I've read the posts about how a large wiz.bin can slow down startup. Mine seems to have reached a point where it takes so long to start the client, that windows loses focus on Sage. I end up with Sage started and the taskbar flashing. As I dont have focus, the remote doesnt work so I have to dig out the mouse (awkward when the client PC is located on top of my kitchen cabinets)

Is there a way to prevent Sage losing focus ? Failing that, can I clear down wiz.bin somehow ? I don't really care about my viewing history

Thanks

Tim

I used to have that problem so rather than having Sage startup directly, I created a batch file with a delay that would wait ~20 seconds and then launch Sage.

LaunchSage.bat:
Code:
ping 1.1.1.1
ping 1.1.1.1
C:\Program Files\SageTV\SageTV\SageTV.exe
That seemed to push it past all the other windows stuff getting launched at startup that could be stealing the focus.

Cheers - that seems to be better. I restart Sage everytime the client comes out of standby (Keep losing my music when I come out of standby but a restart sorts it out) and so I added a ping and some sleeps to that script
