VERY slow service startup on server reboot with v6.0.15

I was seeing a lot of playback problems on the client and rebooting the client did no help, so I started investigating the server. First, CPU was pegged, so I killed my show analyzer process (though it was showing no cpu usage). Still maxed I noticed that SageTVservice and System were both running pretty high, so I just closed sage and rebooted the server. I restarted the service (nearly 20 minutes ago) and it is still Starting. Looking at the log file, i see lines like

For seemingly every recording.

Then I see this

There seems to be a transcoder process kicked off in there too.

Any thoughts? I will submit a bug report as well.

Your not alone, I just had to reboot as windoze was screwing up and it's been 16 minutes and it still shows "SageTV Service Status: Starting".

Did you ever figure this out, or are you waiting for the next beta...

TIA

I submitted a bug report and was requested to send log files from the slow start as well as prior logs.

However, subsequent starts have been better so I am running OK for now, don't know if they learned anything from the logs.

Well I completely rebuild my server with new equipment. I installed v6.0.17 RC2 and it seemed to start normally. I ran the server for several days and then it did the IE7 upgrade this am. I rebooted and now I am back to slow startups (over 10 minutes). Anyone else still having these problems? If so are you running IE7?

TIA

Well I spoke too soon. It is now happening again. I have submitted a Support Request. I'll let you know if any thing comes from it. I would appreciate if anyone else has this problem, to submit a Support Request also.

TIA
