Transparent Green Lines (Left Side & Top) 4:3 with ATI drivers

Hi,

I've been using Nvidia cards since the TNT and Nvidia decided to stop AGP bus cards, so to breath more life into my P4 3Ghz PVR with a 7600GS I upgraded to an Asus ATI AH3650 Silent - 2 days ago.

VERY sweet card and the scaling of 4:3 is MUCH better with the ATI card - so fa r I'm quite impressed.

However using the ATI card I now have a transparent Green Line on the Left Side & Top of the screen when playing mpeg2 4:3 encoded videos. AVI's do not have this problem using ffdshow.

I'm running 1920x1080, VMR, FSE, in the client property file I have Direct Show player set to true. ATI Catalyst 8.12

I have tried the following:
- Cyberlink v7 - green lines
- ArcSoft Video Decoder - green lines
- SageTV MPEG Decoder - no green lines - but of course looks like ..... well you know
=== outside SageTV:
- Windows Media Player - no green lines (my default MPEG2 decoder is setup to be the Cyberlink v7)
- VLC - no green lines
- Total Media Theater - no green lines (ArcSoft)

So in summary this problem seems to in SageTV only.

This was happening with 6.5.5 and now 6.5.6. Sorry I haven't tried an order version of SageTV since I upgraded to 6.5.5. back in December and only got the ATI card on Saturday. So I do not know if this is related to the beta.

Has anyone else seen this? I've looked at all the drivers options but nothing has removed the transparent green lines.

Just an update, I disabled 3D Acceleration and of course it's way too slow to use. But the green lines disappeared. So it's definititly related to the ATI drivers/mpeg2 decoders.
