Recording channel changes mid show

Ok, I am frustrated again. If I am recording a show and turn the channel Sage does not then use another available turner (I have 5) but instead ruins my recording by turning the turner, with out a warning, it was recording on. I also seam to be able to hange the channel I am watching on the server, again with out warning, from my client based tv.

i am still loosing focus with my MCE remote if I sort of hit 2 buttons at the same time. I know ts my fault but losing focus keeps my wife from lettng me use Sage. this happen in both Vista and XP. I have done the typ services and ehome fixes. I am also using LM Remote.

I haven't tried this in a long time (I am still trying to burn through a backlog of recorded programs), but SageTV use to either pick up a new tuner or warn you that it was going to stop the current recording.

You are watching a program that is either marked as a manual recording or favorite (e.g., it was already being recorded when you chose to start watching it)? If it is not either a favorite or manual recording then it is not being recorded, as far as SageTV is concerned, it is just being time shifted.

This morning it was recording a Favorite for my wife. She hit the TV button which had her Faviorte on mid show. She wanted to watch something else and changed channels (with out a warning) and she watched the other show. Later she watched her faviorte and it followed her channing channel. This is a ongoing problem

You're not using a cable box, and the cable remote to change channels? Sage should never "follow the changing channel" since if Sage does change channels, it creates a new file/recording for the new channel.

No,
I am using...
2 cable boxes
1 turner for basic cable
2 HD OTA tuners

All is controlled thrugh MCE Remote & LM Remote including turning the channels on the cable boxes.

Just making sure, I'm certain SageTV would like to know about that issue.

The channel changing problem is gone. I changed my LMRemote settings. I am embarrassed. Thanks for the input.

Now, if I can fix the "loosing focus" problem then my wife will let me use Sage instead of Media Center. I have tried several options both in XP and in Vista. Sage still looses focus. Has any one really fixed this once and for all?
