IP address ?

I recently installed some VPN software so I could dial into a company network. And I noticed my sagetv client PC is now reporting my IP Address as 192.168.30.11 when its really like 192.168.1.215

192.168.30.11 is not an IP on my local network. Its an IP used when connected to the remote network. I am wondering if this is causing me some problems or not.

When I run 'ipconfig' I see both IP addresses listed. But the second one listed is 192.168.30.11 hmmmmm

Is there a place to tell Sagetv client a hard coded IP address?

Check the SageClient.properties file for the value of autoconnect_server_hostname=
This can be set to a hostname or a IP address.

I found out what was causing that particular problem. I recently loaded a VPN client software, and it was still running in the background without having an actual network connection. And its IP address was on the remote network and for some reason sageTV was hanging on to that address instead of the primary lan cards IP address of 192.168.1.x

Once I stopped all the VPN services running, the remote IP address went away and then I could talk to the sagetv server again without any problems.
