sound problem with convert, Sage 6.4.8

After I convert a file to MPEG4 I am only getting sound out of the right channel of my surround sound. MPEG2 works fine, and MPEG4 conversions before I upgraded to 6.4.8 work as well. I have not changed anything else except for upgrading to 6.4.8. Anyone else had a similar problem?

5.1 audio in HD stream outputs only in left channel after SageTV MPEG-4 convert

I've noticed the exact same things. If I convert to DVD quality with AC3 it works fine, but trying to use MPEG4 conversion gives me audio in the left channel only. Though maybe one of us has a cable reversed? Either way, we seem to have the same issue. I had it working in earlier versions, but just tried to archive a few clips from some shows and found out it doesn't work any more in 6.4.x and now 6.5.x after upgrading. Any answers out there??

Cool Oops

I notice this too. Finally, I got frustrated and pulled the MediaMVP out and realized that my R and L channel connections were going not to Red and white but to red and black.

Feeling dumb, I hooked the Red and white cable connectors to the same-colored connections on the MediaMVP.

Doh!

I've got the same problem and it's not a cable hookup issue. Anyone?

Me too

I've been having this problem too. I posted a thread about it here http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41016 but no one really had much to say.

I'd really like to get this working properly. Does anyone have an idea?
