HVR-2250 does NOT do ATSC under SageTV 6.4.8 using beta drivers

HVR-2250 does not work with ATSC under the latest Sage (6.4.8).

It recognizes the HVR-2250 as two different analog Hauppauge cards (I don't recall the model number but it wasn't 2250). I've tried to channel scan, but it doesn't work. If I use the Digital OTA guide data, I can get the card to tune some ATSC channels, but it doesn't give the channels in the 2-1 format. Rather it'll list multiple same channel numbers.

I've tried to install the latest beta XP 32-bit driver:

ftp://hauppauge.com/support/HVR2250/

and the beta Sage DShow and TSsplitter drivers for SageTV:

Hopefully, there's a solution around the corner. Otherwise, my htpc project is coming to an end. Way too much time spent on this!

I have been using the 2250 for 2 months now with SageTV 6.4. In your tuner setup you'll see something like Haup 771 or 772 (I forget). Select that one. Farther along you'll get to pick the Digital tuner from a list of Analog, Digital, QAM etc. Repeat setup for #2 tuner.

It works great, by the way.

The odd tuner numbers is what SageTV is reading from the Hauppauge Drivers. This happens on a lot of Hauppauge digital cards.

If your 2250 is able to scan and tune the ATSC channels but associates them with the wrong (or single-digit) channel, then in SageTV you can just use the Channel Setup to use the REMAP button and use LOGICAL to reassign them to a channel coding of your choice. 2-1, 2.1, 702, 1002, whatever.

Thanks! I'll give that a shot. I guess I was expecting this to be straight forward. Hearing Helen's experience though, I'm a bit more optimistic.
