Problem with the shs beta drivers
Evening,
Installed my new system tonight, and tried to use the beta drivers to see if I could then use the UI on my PVR 350. All installed okay, and the PVR update, IR and Sage. And then the problem. When I rebooted the system, and error message came up about not being able to initalize the IR device. And when I started Sage, all I got was a screen saying that I need to setup my device (which I had already done) and no devices where listed to install. Roll back XP, tried again, same results. Roll back, use the Hauppage drivers, and all is okay. Anyone else had this? Simon. |

I think the problem you encountered was caused by a missing hcwi2c32.dll file from your windows32 directory. This file gets removed by the hcwclear program and is not part of the drivers.
I suggest you save a copy of the current hcwi2c32.dll file and then restore it after you install the new drivers.
