sagetv is freezing after playing for 10-15 mins.

It is working fine if i play it with vlc player. I think it is with intervideo codec. I tried changing the registry for better performance, but I couldn't find entries in the registry. Any help?

I have AMD 6000+ 3.0 GHz processor, 3 GB RAM, Onboard video with gigabyte MB. HDMI output, HVR-1600

I had a similar issue. It turned out my Gigabyte mobo was not giving my RAM the proper voltage. I bumped it up to the appropriate voltage in the BIOS and the problem went away.

How did you tell that the mobo was not giving enough voltage? Is there a software to test this?

You can try running Memtest, which is always a good idea if you have tinkered with BIOS settings or built a PC yourself: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memtest86%2B

Use CPU-Z, under the memory tab, it will tell you what the current voltage is and what the memory can take.
