Hey,

I download the channels in the SageTV software for my local channel listing for Basic Cable Cox Comm San Diego. I can see the channel listing, but when I select the channels 90% of the stations will not play on the sage tv but will play on the regular tv. Does anyone have a explanation for this problem? Also anyone have a solution?

Craig

I have a similar problem down here in Houston with DirecTV and the local channel line-up. After searching all of the FAQs and as much of the forums as I can stand I give up...

I set up my computer to control the STB via a data cable. Set the guide up as necessary and the channel line-up showed all of the channels as I see them on the STB. When I go to the guide, however, the local channels are missing (yes I made sure that all channels were enabled).

I can tune them in using the remote for the STB and Sage will show them faithfully, but still the guide does not recognize them, they don't even appear at all. I thought I might remap them but they are mapped correctly so I haven't bothered with this.

All other channels work and are accessable through the EPG.

Is this an issue that needs to be reported to FreyTech or is there a solution here in the forums that I've missed?

Craig,

Don't know if this solution will work for your situation but in my case (DirecTV) when Sage/Zap2It (or whatever it's called) downloads channel information there are duplicates for the local channels. In my situation local channels are listed in the channel 900s and duplicated in the 2 through 50 series for continuity. When all channels were selected there was a conflict of sorts and I couldn't get any of the local channels below channel 50. By disabling the 900s and going with the dupes as per my STB I am now getting all of my locals. As it was explained to me Sage will only recognize one ABC, NBC, CBS, etc. I don't know what all channels got downloaded into the PC during the set up process but you may want to check for this and disable any dupes which you wouldn't normally choose from the STB.

Good luck.

Channels Missing

It did check for any duplicates and I did not see any on the EPG. It seems so strange that over ten station will not come in on the SAGE TV. The cable guy told me I must have something not set right in the software so it does not reckonize the station. See that the EPG does all the work I do not know what could be wrong. If anyone else has any suggestion it would be helpful. If anyone from San Diego is running SAGE TV with success with Cox Communication please email directly and let me know. You can email me at craigbc@yahoo.com

Thanks,

Craig
