Can't load STVI plugins 6.4.7

Is anyone having problems loading plugins with version 6.4.7? After it prompts to rebuild, it pops up a window "untiltiled" and an "OK" button, but the plugins don't load. I tried it with several different ones.

your not the only one

same here

Edit
Work around if your familiar with studio, import the stvi that way until a stv fix has been posted or check the stv update feature often.

Sorry, but an update is going to be needed for the new STVI Plugin Manager feature to work properly.

For now, set this property to restore the old single import dialog:
ui/allow_single_import=true

That doesn't work for me. I have the exact same option "Manage STVI Plugins" and it functions the same with the "Untitled" and "OK" button.

Any other ideas?

You have to add the line in the clients properties file

Setting this property doesn't removed the Plugin Manager... it just adds back the ability to add single STV Imports. Just look further down in the advanced settings menu right above the Theme selection (also make sure you add this property in the Client properties file if you are on the Client or running Service Mode on the Server)

It worked for me at least. Looking forward to a built in STVI manager... great tool for such a customizable interface

I like the idea of this, but would it be possible to also support xml imports?

All imports for the default STV have the .STVi extension. Why would you want xml imports as well?

Aloha,
Mike

Because I'm currently using MC and I forgot the default won't use xml files. I guess I really want something like this to work with MC in the end and I'm hoping that if it works in the default, you and flachbar will find a way to put it in MC.

I thought that might be what you were thinking.

The only difference between a .STVi import and a .xml import is the extension. (Well, that and the STV they are designed for) We'll just have to wait and see how difficult it is to adapt once the default version is finalized.

Aloha,
Mike

An updated Sage.jar file has now been posted here.

Please download the update, check out the new STVI Plugin Manager, and let us know your results.

Note: If you previously used the batch importer, that should no longer be needed with this new feature.

Works great. I like the fact that all the plugins go into a new single STV rather than creating 13 new STV for the 13 imports I have. I have used it a few times now on my Server and my Client and no issues yet.

I also changed the time stamp on one of my STVI files in the middle of my list and either restarting Sage or going back into the Manage menu and out again prompted me that a change had occured and ask if I wanted to rebuild... the rebuild in both cases was also flawless.

This is a great addition.

Well there's already an automated STV downloader. So it wouldn't too much of a stretch, would it?

I used Meedio once - a long time ago. Refresh my memory of how Maid worked - and how Meedio dealt with plugins.

Basically, from inside of Meedio you could go to a menu that listed all of the available plug-in's, select one, and it would automatically download/install.

Yes. I load the Dynamic Menus first, and then my other plugins. No issues so far.

No problems for me with dynamic menus.

What I'd like to see is the ability to change the order of the plugins (does this mean they are now officially plugins and not imports?)

There's certainly a few "plugins" that are installation order sensitive. Would be nice to not have to edit the properties file to insert a "plugin" into the correct installation order.

plugin, plugin, plugin, that's 7 in one post, that'll make me remember it

John
