ADS "Instant DVD" use?

Is it possible, or has anyone tried, using one of those “DVD maker” –type gadgets to create a channel within Sage?

I have an ADS brand “Instant DVD 2.0”, circa 2002 or so. It’s one of those gadgets that you use to make DVDs from your old VHS tapes and whatnot. It basically has composite (and stereo jack) inputs (from your VCR, for example), and a USB connection to your PC. It streams whatever analog video/audio is coming through the composite connections into the PC via the USB (and comes with software to record it and burn it to DVD, which I would not be using here, obviously).

What I am wondering is, if I install the drivers and such, and plug it in, would Sage pick it up as an analog tuner? I have seen talk in this forum about creating a channel to view, for example, an in-home closed-circuit TV stream. So I figure this might be about the same.

If the answer is yes, my thought would be to attempt to use the gadget for the “hack” to get the Pandora Radio plug-in working on my HD Extender. I currently do not (otherwise) have any analog tuners, and this would save me buying one just for this reason.
