Thumbs down Complete 6.4 Supported Tuner List for Mac

Guys,

I've been to the Sage.tv web site and seen that Sage supports the following tuners:

Hauppauge EskapeLabs myTV.PVR
Hauppauge WinTV PVR USB2 (use the EskapeLabs drivers)

However I'm the adventurous kind and would be interested in running the beta software if there were better turner options. My big aversion to the above two options is I'd like a little investment protection (meaning digital) or dual tuner support (maybe the option for HD) so something like the ElGato Hybrid would be a step in the right direction (which looks supported) however I'm interested in knowing what all my options are.

Could someone like Narflex or other knowledgeable fellow provide a complete list of support tuners for the Mac in the 6.4 beta?

Thanks in advance.

Sincerely,

Jay Bivens

I run the Mac server with a pair of HDHR's for a total of 4 ATSC tuners.

For analog cable, I use a Hybrid and for OTA digital, I use a HDHR with the latest Beta. The Hybrid is detected as a Hauppage 950, but it works fine.

Also, be aware that when I scanned for analog channels on the Hybrid, none were found, but I went ahead and enabled all possible channels based on my Comcast lineup. The analog channels viewed fine in the program guide.

One problem I've had for months with the HDHR is Sage's inability to tune in digital subchannels (-2, -3, etc.). Tuning them in always displays the content of -1.

interesting. i havent had any problems with tuning sub channels in the Mac server. i did have issues with auto channel scan missing 1/2 of my channels, but was able to add them all in manually without a hitch.

I've seen references to Hybrid before, my first thought was this is a ElGato Hybrid or a 250 Hybrid.

Is this a correct assumption? Or some other manufacturer?

First time I've looked at the 950, so it's safe to assume they are identical. With that said you can get the 950 for half of a El Gato Hybrid. I assume since Sage supports it that I'd be better off with a 950 and using the Sage driver?
