Short and sweet question ...

Any advice on the best video card for Vista and Sage 6?

Of course I am interested in card and it's best decoders for Vista.

Oh, and this is for STD and HD (QAM) ...

Hi,

I'm using Vista 64 bit and Sage 6.4.4 with the following cards:-

1 x Hauppauge DVB-T-500 (dual DVB-T) - both DBV-T tuners work well.
2 x FireDVB S2 (Single Firewire DVB-S2) - both DVB-S2 tuners work really well.
1 x BlackGold BG3540 (Dual DVB-T, Dual DVB-S, Dual Analogue tuners) - only the Dual DVB-T tuners work with Sage (the dual DVB-T does work really well though).
1 x Hauppauge HVR-1300 (single DVB-T, single Analogue Tuner, S-Video for Set top box) - I only use the S-Video, that works really well. I expect the other tuners will work although I have not tried them yet.
1 x Power Color ATI X1900XT - the VIVO does not work with Sage.

Hope this helps,

David

Excellent card, especially for a HTPC; great price: SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 3450

I use a HD2400XT (very similar specs) and it works great.

9600GT is too powerful for a non gaming HTPC. Stick to a 8600GT, 8500GT or my personal favorite, the ATI 3450 w/HDMI for $19 after $10 rebate.
