Program guide advance - bug or expected behavior?

1:59am, I'm looking at the Program Guide, but I've scrolled to the right to 5:00am. As I'm scrolling down through the movie channels, the clock hits 2:00am and the whole guide shifts 30 minutes to the right, so that now the column is lined up on 5:30am. Seems to me that it should only scroll to the right if I was looking at 1:30am column, no?
