IRTrans, Girder, Vista and SageTV oh my!

I have an OrigenAE X11 case which comes with a MCE remote and IRTrans. Before I switched to SageTV I was using Vista MCE without any problems, but now since the switch, I have problems with the remote.

Here is what is happening. Sometimes when I press a button on the remote, what ever button I press, it actually performs 2 of the actions. Like if I press Up, the cursor on the screen jumps up 2 menu slots on the screen. I have contacted Girder support to see if they know of anything, but so far haven't been much help.

What I've done so far:
  1. Updated IRTrans
  2. Set "Only use first match" (per Girder support)
  3. Set "Match invisible tasks" (per Girder support)

Also, one other problem I have deals with the MCE remote trying to start MCE. There are only a couple of buttons that try to start MCE like Recorded TV, but they cause problems none the less.
What I've done so far:
  1. Disabled MCE in group policy
  2. Disabled ehtray.exe via msconfig
  3. Disabled all services that relate to MCE from the services MMC

Any help is appreciated.

Did you configure SageTV to use a remote control? If so, Sage is probably responding to commands while Girder is as well. You'll either need to disable Girder or configure SageTV to not use a remote.

Yes, I have Sage set to not use a remote or use an external configuration.

Some of the buttons on the MCE remote work as keyboard storkes. That is, in any program you may be able to get up, down, left. right without doing anything special. You may want to disable the buttons in Girder that give you the double action. You'll find the buttons work without any assistance.

Cool, this worked. Now if I can just get rid of the darn MCE triggers I'll be all set.
