HDHR Question

I see the HDHR is a "dual Tuner" can I have 2 seperate sources on it? 1 OTA and 1 QAM, or does both have to be the same source? I see that is has 2 inputs so I believe it could be 2 seperate sources but wanted to hear from someone using one!!!

Thanks

Yes you can. In the HDHR manager there is an Advanced tab that will allow QAM and OTA at the same time.

I have used two different lineups before (one OTA and one digital cable). There isn't anything of which I am aware that would force you to use both tuners as QAM or ATSC. The HDHR software controls them independently.

Thanks... I saw some post in the HDHR forums about that... but there was some material about it might not work using BDA drivers, but it would work like a network encoder. Then some talk about a new beta that would allow it to work with BDA... and the trail went cold after that... I couldn't follow if this was something that worked now or not!

Thanks for the info!
