Weather on Main Page - How?

Since you're taking requests I understand the font size changing as you add more letters (ie. Rain .vs Partly Cloudy). Is it possible to "thicken up" the font, even when it's small? The "Now" bar font's are pretty thin.

I've made some updates to the WeatherPanel import (v0.6.2 - pls find the file on post #30 of this thread). I've also added a revision history on that post.

I think this might be the last modification to the layout so give it your best criticism. Still need to do some cleanup work prior to listing it in the download section.

I upgrade to 6.3.10 tonight and installed your Weather import and I have to say it rocks. It is awesome... it is exactly what I wanted! I like the Default STV and with this and Dynamic Menus I have everything I want!

Except for that same Soundgraph VFD....arg.

Really though... awesome work and thank you so much for putting your time into it!

This is a great addition, thanks. Can someone tell me how to edit the module when using with a remote. In other words, i am using an MVP and want to configure the days, how do i bring up the customize menu for the weather?

edit - found it under customize in setup. in a prior edition i was able to do it right from the main menu.. i think

Your right - The custom settings are accessible directly from the menu but only when the dynamicmenu "Show Scheduled Recordings" option is also enabled on that menu. Navigation will then jump from the Scheduled Recordings bar to the weather panel where you can either choose the 'Option' function (event #29) to access custom settings or the enter button will bring you to the sagetv 10day forecast panel.

I hope to improve the navigation when I get some time. This navigation problem is also the reason I haven't released my latest version which allows the user to move the weather panel to a custom position. Moving the panel around works great but the navigation gets all screwed up. I though looking at the sageMC stv would help me figure this out but I looked at it just long enough to get confused - anyway I hear that project has ended . I'll give it a shot again when I get some time.

I've just done a fresh install of sagetv on a new system and I have a few options for this plugin I would like to do. I would do them myself, but I'm not great at using studio.

First I'd like the weather panel to slide in from the left.

And second I'd like the background shading to match the one used on the main menu.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Even if you can tell me how to do these two things in studio I'm sure i can figure it out.

I'm swamped at the real job at the present but may find some time next week.
I briefly played around with the sliding and think I might get that one. What background shading are you speaking to.. In the "Weather Panel Options"? Or the highlight bar?

Ok... remember I'm not a program guy here so bear with me and anyone who can please chime in. My suggestions... 1) Check your computer time and make sure it's correct. 2) From the main menu select the 'onlineTV' -> 'Weather' and check that the short term forecast shows correctly. 3) If all is well with the short term forecast... click the 3 days, go back to the main menu and check if it forced an update.

I will be trying the Beta 6.4 over the weekend. Seems there is more problems then just your add on. Will let you know if this clears your problems up.

Seems the Now weather is not updating on your add on BUT does noty change on main Weather either. Also (you are going to love this one) on 10 day weather it goes July 26 - 27 -28 -29 and Then April 23 - 24 . Will let check back after upgrade to 6.4.

6.4.4 Beta and up will fix the weather problem. Weather.com changed their site, so you need at least 6.4.4

What background shading are you speaking to.. In the "Weather Panel Options"? Or the highlight bar?

I'm talking about the shading behind the actual weather displayed on the main page. The shading behind it is just a little lighter than the shading behind the main menu. I hope that makes sense.
