HDHomeRun Recording Conflicts

I have dual tuner HDHomeRun and using the latest SageTV v6.2.10. I have 2 program setup in my favorites, one is 'Numb3rs' and the other is 'Without a Trace', both of these programs are airing on Friday nights at 10 PM. Sage tells me that I have a recording conflict because both programs are on at the same time. Why won't Sage recognize that I have 2 tuners and it can use the 2nd tuner to record the conflicting program?

I have both tuners using the same guide and they are both connected to the same source. When Sage is recording a favorite program I can also watch another program at the same time without any problems. Is there a way to tell Sage to use the other tuner when resolving conflicts? Please help.

I am confused. How can they be on at the same time? They are both on the same network CBS. Numb3rs is on at 10PM EST on Fridays and Without a Trace is on at 10PM on Thursdays.

Definitely something is wrong with your EPG or Favorites. I have them both. WaT on Thurs and Num on Fri.

HDHomeRun Recording Conflicts

Let me clear this up. My guide displays 'Without a Trace' on Thursdays at 10 PM on WIVBDT it is also on Fridays at 10 PM on CFTODT and at the same time on Fridays 'Numb3rs' is on at 10 PM on WIVBDT. I didn't mention a couple of things in my first post which are probably important, at 9 PM on Fridays 'K-Ville' is on WUTVDDT and also setup as a favorite, I have all my favorites setup with 2 minute padding at the beginning and at the end of every recording, I have Sage setup to remove padding on back to back recordings.

So:
'K-Ville' is scheduled to record at 9 PM Friday night. (2 minutes of padding before and after)
'Numb3rs' is scheduled to record at 10 PM Friday night. (2 minutes of padding before and after)
'Without a Trace' is not scheduled to record at 10 PM Friday night, Sage says it's because I have a conflict that needs to be addressed.

After posting my original situation I messed around with the padding time in the favorites and I removed the padding for all 3 programs and to my surprise no more conflict, Sage resolved the conflict on it's own by selecting the 2nd tuner. If I have Sage setup to remove padding on back to back recordings does it not remove the padding if the programs to be recorded are on different stations?

Right -- removing padding on back to back Favorites only affects them when they are on the same channel.

Instead of changing the Favs to remove the padding, you could also turn them into Manual Recordings via the Record command & then add padding only if it won't interfere with the other shows. The Favs will still try to use padding for future airings.

If you set up your favorite to record without a trace only from WIVBDT (Thurs at 10) then it will not try to record on Friday on CFTODT (Fri at 10). You should then be able to use your padding on K-Ville and Numb3rs. I set all of my favorites to record on a specific channel.
