Wierd recording conflict

I was looking at my recording schedule in SageMC and saw that I had a upcoming recording in the schedule say it was conflicting. But a quick perusal of the schedule did not show a conflict. Everything being scheduled, and conflicted, on that tuner around that time frame was on Speed, so there should have been no conflicts at all.

Fired up SageClient with the default UI and did some more checking, All the following shows are on Speed and

trackside 9:00-10:00 (no padding)
nascar racing 10:00-11:00 (+1.5 hour padding) CONFLICT, did not schedule
nascar live 11:30-12:00 (no padding)
nascar racing 12:00-1:30 (+1.5 hour padding, padding removed for next show)
trading paint 1:30-2:00 (no padding)

Sage wouldn't record the 10-11 showing of nascar racing even though it could have, if it removed or reduced the padding to no more than 30 minutes. I had to force it as a Manual recording to get it to schedule, but it stripped out all of the padding and left a 30 minute hole in the schedule. I was also able to get it auto-schedule the 10-11 showing (with padding stripped) if I got Sage to schedule in the 11-11:30 program that was not being recorded since it had already been marked watched, by either "unwatching" it or Manual recording it. Once the 11-11:30 hole was filled, Sage scheduled the 10-11 showing and stripped out the padding automatically.

Apparantly "remove padding on back-to-back favorites" only works if they are actually back-to-back immediately Designed behaviour or bug?

I haven't heard of anything saying to remove only as much padding as needed to record shows on the same channel, so that looks designed to me -- those shows aren't back to back & either all of the padding would be removed for back to back airings on the same channel, all of it would be kept to complete the recording, or a conflict would occur. You could always submit it to SageTV to see if their understanding is different, or if it can be handled differently in the future.

Thats what I thought. It just threw me for a loop at first. I knew that everything was on the same channel and it was set to remove padding, so I couldn't figure it out at first.

I'll throw it up to Sage to see what they say.
