Viewing commercial skip on SageClient.
I use SageMC as well as ShowAnalyzer for commercial skip on my SageTV server. Everything works great.
However, with the same SageMC setup on a client machine commercial skip doesn't show up. In every place possible I've used UNC file paths and followed all the advice I could be searching the forum. Is there something stupid I'm missing? Thanks.

Setup > Detailed Setup > Commercial Skip?
I've tried that but it doesn't seem to make a difference. Also, both settings there are Disabled on the server and it still utilizes the .edl files for commercial skip. Are you talking about a setting somewhere else? Thanks man.

FYI for anyone else reading this thread, the settings in Setup > Detailed Setup > Commercial Skip don't affect whether or not SageMC shows commercial skip in the timeline. I have them both disabled and it still works. Thanks again Gerry. -Jeremy

I'm having the same exact issue. Commercial Skip works great on the server and MVP, but not on the full client.
Which Jars are you speaking of being outdated? How can you tell if it's outdated?

You either need to record to UNC paths, or else, on the client, create a mapped drive to the server's recording drive using the SAME letter for the client that the server has. SO, if the server records to F:, then you need to map the server drive to F: on the client. Drive mapping can be a pain on multiple clients, so many people do UNC paths instead.

Yeah - I ran across a very similar thread talking about UNC paths. I went the mapped drive route intuitively once I realized it needed the same local path as the server.
Thanks, btl.
