Game Launcher?

Hey guys. I am not very good at programming. Can someone make a games launcher for mame/n64/nes and pc games like they have for snapstreams beyond media? That would make my system almost flawless!

Thanks
Sage = better then MCE!

Just Use GameX. I use to launch all my EMUs from a shortcut within Sage. The is built in MAME support for Sage but no other EMUS that I know of.

I had initially set up my system to launch Mame, Nes, SNES and Genesis using the other programs plug in. I made some icons of the systems and it worked pretty nicely.

Though you need a mouse present to select games once in the programs.

I would read up on how customizations work before moving along though. There is alot of functionality on these forums, you just need to search for it.

Can someone please tell me which software I need and what I need to do to get gameex to launch from a menu on the front page? That seems like the easiest way to get a gaming system going. I use sagemc 16x9 or whatever it is..
Again, I am new to Sagetv, converted from media center secondary dvr-ms stupid files
THanks

I used the dynamic menu to launch gamex. Then I used girder to control GameEX with the remote. Also with Girder my Joystick controls SagetV to a certain extent. When I exit gameX sageTV is minimized I just have to hit the power button on my remote to bring sageTv up.

You gave me an Idea. I was able to create a script that would check my rom folders and create the menuitems for dynamic menus. I was able to add all the Items to regular SageTV without any Meedio. I can launch all the games using my remote. I will attach screens.

Please do share the script! This thread got me looking back at my old ROMs that I haven't even touched since the SageTV 2.x days.

Hey guys thanks for your replies. I got gameex working using that dynamic windows thingy. It works great.. the only problem I am having is when I press the media center button (I have media center remotes), it takes me back to sagetv without quitting it. I think there is somewhere in gameex to fix that. Otherwise I am really impressed by sagetv. The tv is great, except that usb ir blaster is really slow when it comes to channel changing.

Yippie!
