Resizing Mac Placeshifter basically destroys OS X...

Hey guys,

I don't know if this is common, or well known or what... but whenever I try and resize live TV when it is playing it pretty much tanks my display. It basically leaves all these display artifacts all around my screen and when I try and switch to any other open app all I get is blocks.

The only way to fix this is to log out and log back in.

Any chance this is a known bug that is getting worked on?

**UPDATE**

This happened to me again this morning. Steps for me to produce the problem:

1) Sart live TV
2) Stop live TV
3) Resize window
4) Switch back to using any OS X app and I start to see this.

Here are some pics:

Cheers,

The latest 6.1.6RC on both server and Placeshifter.

P.S. This is a 2Ghz MacBook (Intel Core Duo).

Just tried 6.1.4 client on my G4 powerbook (Running 10.4) with 6.1.4 and don't see that problem. I get some pixelization in the expanded space but it then fills out

I have been running the mac placeshifter ever since it came out, with no problems. What kind of mac do you have? Have you tried installing placeshifter for a new user with a clean profile?

Have you tried 6.1.7 and use the default STV?

Seeing the same issue...

I'm running the latest Mac PS client and am seeing the EXACT same issue. It only happens AFTER you resize the Sage window. It's possible to get everything back to normal, but you have to completely quit out of the placeshifter (closing all connection windows won't do it).

This is a fairly new problem, although I can't pinpoint exactly when it started occurring.

For me it's happening on an Intel MacBook with integrated graphics. I'll give it a try on my son's eMac later on tonight to see if I see any difference.

Yes, and it seems to behave the same. This isn't earth shattering but it does become a fairly big nuissance... especially when I dont' always remember and then start dragging

Good to know I am not the only one experiencing this. Here's hoping sometime down the road there will be a fix.

Cheers,

I tried to recreate this, but it seems to work fine. Does this occur when you don't run Parallels?

this happens too with me on a Macbook using 6.1.6rc PS. I've been afraid to resize the window lest it happen again.

Not Parallels related

Same problem with and without Parallels running. It's somehow related to blocking screen refresh, 'cause all kinds of weird artifacts show up.
