6.1.x tuner use logic

I have 3 tuners. There was one program scheduled to record on tuner 1 at 8 PM. I was watching a movie on live tv from 7 - 9 PM that happened to be using tuner 1. At 8, Sage asked me if it was OK to change the channel in order to record the scheduled show even though there were still 2 free tuners. With past versions Sage would just move the scheduled recording to one of the free tuners.

Also, a very rare issue that I've seen since 6.x is that while watching live TV Sageclient will just vanish as if someone ended the process in Task Manager. No errors or warnings nor entries in the logs. Just poof! Sage is gone.

Last night, Sage again asked me if it was OK to change channels even though there were free tuners. This has not happened to anybody else?

Have you done any encoder_merit tweaking? I've read on the forums that than can be a side-effect of messing with encoder_merit. It happens on my system occasionally (but since I RARELY watch LiveTV, it doesnt bother me too much)
