VMR9 FSE Tearing

I have never been able to get rid of the tearing I see in the top portion of the screen. It happens with SD and HD, but sometime I don't see the problem for a while.

Maybe it has to do with vista?

Anybody else seeing FSE not working right?

Ditto. I get minor tearing with a 7600GS and VMR9 with FSE on or off on WinXP. I think it's nvidia driver related.

Most of the time I get none. Then all of a sudden it can happen a lot. I stopped trying to figure it out.

I haven't seen tearing like I'm seeing now in xp since I got my 7600gt. But in vista I think my particular problem lies.

if you have nvidia cards, try setting the refresh rate to 59Hz, this might improve things.

I never had tearing with my lowly Nvidia 6600GT. Now with the 7600GT I see it for the first time.

I am using the 101.41 nvidia driver and it defaulted to 59Hz.

I had windows 2003 running off this 7600GT before running vista. In Win 2003 there was no tearing at all and FSE was working properly.

But in Vista it definately is not working.

I'm getting less than 20% CPU uages during playback of HD, so the Purevideo decoder is working. But sage looses focus, even though disable_fse_on_focus_lost=false is set.

So something with FSE is still messed.

EDIT: Removed my rant... I've calmed down.

I'm thinking maybe there is some sort of bug still in the Nvidia drivers. The vista beta versions don't come by that often...

I would have hoped that my 7600gt could playback HD fullscreen even without FSE, but apparently that's not possible either.

I hope it's a bug in sage though, because that would be the best chance of it getting fixed quickly.
