Can I mix pci and usb2 tuners
Can I use my old 29xxx hauppauge usb2 with a pvr150 PCI tuner?
Also, what is the difference with pvr-150 and pvr-150MCE? Can i use the MCE version. I want to buy the pvr-150 without fm and remote IR and I want to use my usb2 remote ir. Thanks Last edited by talonmike; 03-15-2007 at 12:26 PM. |

yes, you can mix and match - I have two 150 PCIs in myh box and an external USB as well - been running smooth this way for a few months now.

I've got a 350, a 500mce (screws up the 350 IR due to device detection sequence), and a USB2 (used for IR since it's detected last) happily living in my server. since the 500 is just a pair of 150s you should be ok. it really depends on which one gets loaded first whether the 150mce interferes with the IR software. I can even get the FM on 2 of the 3 devices to work with the radio stvi.

Quote:
Such a reg setting doesn't work only for the PCI cards because the IR software sees all the PCI tuners (150/250/350/500) as if they are are all the same type of card. - Andy
