USB2 vs 500 Performance

Is there a difference in recording quality between the USB2 and the 500?

Is there a difference in performance between the USB2 and the 500?

Would I have performance/bandwidth problems with four USB2's recording to disk at the same time? Can USB handle that much data? Would I need to have them plugged into two or more USB PCI cards?

Will I have performance problems recording four shows at once to a single hard drive? What if I'm also watching four shows at the same time?
