no CC after reinstall

So I recently reinstalled windows, and after getting everything set up I can't seem to get the closed captioning to show up in sage. I followed everything in the appendix, and the mpeg files seem to have recorded the CC info correctly, as mpg2srt was able to extract everything. I can see the option for what CC mode to use, but it won't let me change to cc1/2 when I click on it. I'm using VMR9.
I installed this instance on a different drive, but the old install was still visible so I could copy some files, and that seems to have caused windows to do some strange things - for example, my drive letters are kind of wierd, and anything rendering with overlay is at 50% gamma or so. Any ideas?

Thanks!

specs:
V2.2.8
PVR 350 - driver 1.18.21.23257
XP SP2
2.0 P4, 768 ram, nvidia 6600

What decoder are you using? What decoder were you using in your old setup?

Since you checked with mpg2srt and have CC data in the file, then it is just a matter of getting it to display in Sage. With VMR9, you don't have to worry about overlay settings. If have the CC mode option but can't change it, I'm guessing you are using the Sage MPEG decoder. That decoder doesn't decode DVD's, and the way that Sage uses the CC data, you need a DVD capable decoder, IIRC.
