Lost Audio On Imported Videos

Greetings fam!

Long time member here since '04, but never have problems, so not here much anymore.

I have one now: For some reason, I lost audio on any video or music file that isn't a recorded TV program, or ripped DVD/Blu-ray. I don't mess with the Sage Box at all, but something happened - I don't know if a Windows Update did something? I'm on Windows 7 32bit. I use FFDSHOW to bitstream HD audio to a Denon Receiver. I can't remember installing anything that would mess with MP3/WMV Music, or AAC audio (primarily from downloaded YouTube vids). I didn't change any Sage settings - I never touch it. I looked at Direct Show Filter Manager and can't see anything out of whack. I don't even mess with FFDSHOW, but I checked that, and tried flipping some codecs back and forth - but nada.

Any help appreciated, thanks!

What does the sagetv_0.txt log file show after you play back one of these bad videos?

Thanks for the tip. Looked but no useful info. BUT, that made me play around, and I fixed it. Don't know which one did it - and I think it was last one (LOL). I re-associated all media files from VLC, to WMP. Then, as I was testing with a mouse and keyboard (which I never do - remote only) I noticed that somehow, the OSD volume slider on an MP3/WMA was at zero, so I used the mouse to drag it to max (my remote controls the receiver only). Bingo. Don't know how it got set to zero (and I had the volume slider hidden on the video OSD in the theme settings). Fixed.

Thanks for the reply!
