Any "checklist" for moving to 64 bit Windows?
My understanding is clean install is necessary to move from Win7-32 to Win10-64.
I've read the Windows 64 bit Installer news thread, which has some pointers, but I'm looking for any other tips and traps to consider before taking the plunge See signature below for my current hardware setup. It seems like the USB-UIRT can cause problems, and I'm not sure they have been resolved. The USB-UIRT drivers haven't been updated for at least 3 years, but claim 64 bit support. There were numerous patches, configurations, and workarounds necessary for getting 5.1 audio with HDPVR2. I have no idea if any of that changes with a 64 bit environment, or how much is still need with a clean install. I asked if there were any improvements in that area, but didn't get any response.

I am still running the 32-bit version of SageTV in 64-bit Win10. I didn’t have any issues bringing it over, but it does get installed into a different directory. I can’t remember if I needed to update Sage’s config file or not. It’s been awhile.

You can run the USB-UIRT to change channels OR let Eventghost use it, but you can't do both. USB-UIRT can be 32-bit or 64-bit, but Eventghost is strictly 32-bit. I didn't need to change anything for 5.1 audio.
