SageTV 64bit install breaks ISO playback
Why does the 64bit version break ISO playback. Have upgraded to latest 32bit version from v7.1.9 to 9.2.2.903 and ISO files continue to play as they should. Then I did an install of 9.2.2 64bit version and lost the ability to play ISO files. I have installed the 64bit version on clean installs with nothing else and installs where the 32bit version is installed and working correctly. The last 64bit install I did the ISO files don't even show up in the import directory like they normally do. What does that mean? What am I missing? Is it the MPEG encoders, LAV filters or something else? I have done complete clean re-installs on Win7 & Win10 machines over and over trying different things without ever getting ISO files to play in the 64bit version.
I have two different HD300s that i use as media extenders for playback. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Revirder |

I had issues as well. I can't remember what, but I went back to the old 64-bit version.

If it is an ISO of a DVD then it is most likely the codecs.
If I remember correctly 7.x had the MPEG2 codecs included. If you do a 9.x install OVER a 7.x installation then the MPEG2 codecs are retained. If you do a clean 9.x install then you have no MPEG2 codecs since they are not included with the 9.x code. That is why I have stuck with a 32bit 9.x over 7.x because I have a huge library of ripped DVD's. Although I am slowly but surely converting all of them over to MP4. Once I have that done I'll probably switch over to 64bit 9.2.x.
