Question about working with Xfinity X1 setup/IPTV?

Hello all,

I am in Colorado Springs and currently have an Xfinity X1 setup. I have a DVR upstairs, a DTA up in my office, 4 Cable cards downstairs (2 in HDHR-3CC prime attached to Sagetv, and 2 in Hauppauge DCR-2650, attached to my mythtv box). I also have 2 Pace RNG150N attached to an Hauppauge HDPVR and a BM1000.

My issue is that Comcast here has started adding new channels and they are all being added as IPTV. Unfortunately, nothing I have except for the base DVR upstairs will tune any of the IPTV channels. Which means that Sagetv can't see IPTV channels.

I went over the weekend and picked up another DVR to replace one of my RNG150N, but after thinking about it, if I get a multi-tuner DVR upstairs, I was wondering if I can get and use one of their STB that doesn't actually have a tuner, but maybe remote streaming from the main DVR? Didn't know if that would be an option?

How else has anyone approached these new IPTV channels when they are encountered?
